“Art for Animals” Entry Deadline November 1st


(Vero Beach, Florida) The November 1st entry deadline is quickly approaching for artists interested in entering The Humane Society of Vero Beach and Indian River County’s (HSVBIRC) second annual “Art for Animals” show.

HSVBIRC’s art show and sale benefits the animals of the community. Florida artists wishing to participate can obtain guidelines and registration information by visiting The Humane Society of Vero Beach and Indian River County in person or downloading the “Art for Animals” application from the shelter’s website www.hsvb.org. The cost to exhibit is $10 per piece and artists can submit up to three entries. Although the deadline for artist applications is November 1st all art must be delivered to the shelter by November 19th.

Artists are invited to submit representations of domestic animals and Florida’s native wildlife. Mixed media, paintings and drawings, sculpture, pottery, jewelry, needlework and digital art will all be accepted.

Co-chaired by local animal advocates Sheila Marshall and Ritz Ziegler, the event will be held at The Humane Society of Vero Beach and Indian River County, located at 6230 77th St., Vero Beach. A private artist’s reception will be held the evening of November 23rd. The show will be open to the public and free of charge November 24th and 25th.
